Pastoral Training

The vision of the pastor training program is to help the current generation provide spiritual leadership for Haiti. We will strive to accomplish this mission by equipping pastors to be more effective in their ministries.

Current Ministry

Starting in June of 2012, NVM has been conducting a monthly training conference for pastors living in area around the campus. On average, 65 pastors attend each month. Each session is conducted on a Saturday morning, running from 8 am to 11 am. One of the components of each conference is leadership development. Each month, the pastors receive solid teaching to improve their skills related to teaching and leading others.

Periodically throughout the year, NVM invites guest instructors to come to NVM to conduct more advanced theological training programs. Learning the Word of God is the foundation upon which all other aspects of pastoral work is based.

Leadership Development Goals

The monthly pastor conferences will continue. And there are plans being developed to expand this program to provide even more thorough training related to leadership.

On a quarterly basis, the conference will be expanded into a full day event. This will allow for a more thorough and comprehensive session to provide even greater content to the pastors. Guest presenters will be drawn in from Haiti as well as from the United States.

The end goal is to move the pastors from where they are now to where God wants them to be. Many of the pastors have had limited educational and training opportunities. These conferences will provide needed development training in their lives.
