Wall Project Expands this Summer
It is one of NVM’s goals to build a wall that completely surrounds the perimeter of its Chambrun campus. In Haiti, this is a means of proudly demonstrating ownership of one’s property, but it also has spiritual implications. This wall will serve to represent God’s protection over the ministry for its future years.
Two of our short-term teams joined us this summer to help us in this effort. At the end of June, Grace Point Church, from San Antonio, TX, arrived in Haiti to aid our Haitian staff in building four sections of the wall. These sections stemmed off the existing wall of the Children’s Home and gave the Grace Point team the opportunity to watch as NVM’s mission expanded. What’s more is that our Haitian staff, who are employed for such construction projects, completed most of the work, something that allows us to empower native Haitians in an effective manor.

A few weeks later, the international missionary team from the organization Mercy Ships joined NVM for two weeks as a means of preparing their team for its upcoming work in Benin (a small African country immediately to the west of Nigeria). This team served multiple purposes during their time on campus such as working in the garden, English Camp, and the wall project.
Mercy Ships went through the same process that Grace Point Church did, connecting well with the Haitian workers whom they were joining. They also built four sections of the wall.
Your continued prayers are cherished and necessary for the continuation of this wall project.
